Here's how you can use gifts in your outbound campaign

Last week I received a package at my office. I unboxed it, and this is what it looked like:

I had no clue what it was and if it was a mistake, as most people do not know I'm a DJ (on the side).

But a few days after I received an InMail from Vladimir Blagojević, thanking me for my talk at the Full-Funnel summit.

That was a brilliant way from Vladimir to start a conversation and show that he had done some research about me and something personal.

Naturally, I replied and thanked Vladimir:

This is a great example of using physical mail to start a conversation and build a relationship.

Here's how you can use direct mail in your prospecting:

  1. Do some research about your prospect. If you can find something personal, think about a way you can use that on a mug, t-shirt, or anything customizable

  2. Use a tool like Reachdesk or Sendoso to find customizable items and ship them to your prospects

  3. Follow up a few days after the package has arrived

This should allow you to start conversations with important prospects. If you want to learn more about how to use that as part of an ABM strategy, check this podcast episode with Jerry Henry, from Sendoso.
